Both Qualcomm and MediaTek are gearing up to launch their next-generation high-end mobile processors.

According to previous reports, the new Snapdragon 800 series chip will be based on Samsung’s 4nm process. Today, a new leak has just suggested that MediaTek’s high-end Dimensity 2000 processor will also use the 4nm node, but from TSMC.

This information comes from a leaker named @ on Weibo, who just said that the upcoming next-generation high-end Dimensity 5G SoC will be quite power efficient as it will be based on TSMC’s latest 4nm process node. The person also added that the specifications of the upcoming MediaTek chip will be remarkable thanks to the ARM V9 architecture, allowing it to offer better performance than the previous generation.

Unfortunately, at the moment, we don’t have much information about MediaTek’s next Dimensity 2000 chip. But in related news, the previous Digital Chat Station leaker has just revealed that Qualcomm’s next high-end SoC, the Snapdragon 895 or 898, is expected to be based on Samsung’s 4nm process.
